Hi Norene, I stumbled onto this site totally by
accident. I was searching for old photos of Ludlowville, NY (my home
town) and saw the link for the Shaff family. I'm so amazed at all of the
history that's here! My mother is SallyAnn Shaff, daughter of John Shaff
and Jessie Corrington. I'll see if Mom has any old photo's that she'd
like to share. |

looking for info on Jacob Teeter (#35)b. 7-13-1800 NY
son of Conrad Teeter. Orig from Lansing (Ithaca) NY. Many family members
still there. Jacob and wife Elizabeth Whitlock moved to Big Flats, NY
and worked a farm here (approx 1850) then moved with children to
Lowville, WI (1860 census) then to Blue -----? MN. I now own the farm
they lived on and wondering why they moved to WI, then MN as most of
family still in this general area? Old homestead and barn long gone but
fruit trees and stone foundation still remnants. Any Ideas? I cannot
follow once moved to MN other than date of death, children become lost?
Thanks in advance, John Hunter |

I'm searching the Teeter families. My Wife's great-great
grandmother was Letty Mary Douglas Teeter, second wife of Jacob Teeter
(born Feb. 1, 1775 N. J.;died Oct.12,1853, Lansing, N.Y.). I'm trying to
find Letty's exact date of birth (Orange Co., N.Y.), date of death
(after 1880, she is in the 1880 census) and place of burial. Your site
is very interesting and packed with a lot of information which I don't
have time to peruse right now. I'll be in touch. |

Comments: | Nice page, I'm looking for a elusive George Teeter who was living in or around the Hartford CT. area in the late 1870s, his wife is suppose to be
Ella Laveof of Union Vil CT.
He had a son who was named George Frederick Teeter b: Jan 1879-Oct 1947.
I have had no luck finding them on the 1880 or 1900 census in Ct.

I just wanted to give you the heads up that I sent Kevin a packet that contains information on the Chaffee and Stark/Starks family that is listed on your web site once you click on the link at the bottom of your Teeter family history page. Happy reading! |

Hi Norene, I tried to find your email but no such luck.
Anyways, I was wondering do you have the birthdate of John Lunger who
was murdered? I have a 1960 census of my family with a John Lunger at
the age of 24 in Schuyler County, N. Y. but do not know who he is. The
census then, did not tell you how they were related. My third great
grand father Ludawick Lunger was born in Tomkins county and then moved
to Schuyler County. Also, in the 1860 Census a neighbor next door is a
Ferguson Family, very interesting. By the way your site is great, cant
wait till you get more of the Lunger family listed. Hope to hear from
you and thanks again. Brenda |

Hi Noreen, I am a friend of Kevin's and a cousin to
Kevin's wife Karen. We are going to stay in contact in regards to the
Blake info. Please remind Kevin he has the wrong date on my date of
birth, it should be 1959 not 60. I think it's cool that you're doing
this. I would love to get something like this started on my family. Good
Luck. Janice |

I was glad to be able to provide a link to Norene for
the Nesbitt family. Her grandfather Robert Sterling Nesbitt is a brother
to my Uncle William Lovejoy Nesbitt, Jr. who was married to my mother's
sister Eileen Clear Nesbitt. The Nesbitt family moved to Washington, DC
from New York State in the early 1920's. Sterling was not with them in
the 1930 Washington census. William L. Nesbitt, Sr. was originally from
England and worked as a typesetter for the US Gov. Printing Office. The
family is described in the Devon family tree posted in Ancestry.com. |
